The results of the 7th edition of the "Pearls of the Polish Economy" competition were announced on November 19 during an official ceremony in the Royal Castle in Warsaw.
DZ BANK Polska received a distinction in the "Large Pearl" ("Per³a Du¿"') category. This title is granted to the companies whose income exceeded the amount of PLN 100 million in the preceding year and who have also fulfilled specific efficiency, dynamics and financial liquidity criteria. The factors taken into account include return on sales, income increase, indebtedness, return on assets, return on invested capital, human, real and financial capital productivity and labour productivity. Altogether, the assessment covered about 2000 companies.
The awards are granted by the 'Polish Market' - English language economic magazine - in collaboration with the Institute of Economic Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The honorary patrons of the event are Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Economy, Waldemar Pawlak as well as the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Prof. Micha³ Kleiber.
